Would you like to catch your breath? The view and wind of the ocean at this Huahin viewpoint Hin lek fai offer a solution. This mountain is located behind the train station of the city and is perhaps more a hill than a mountain. At the top you can walk through the park to three or four different viewpoints and enjoy. You will find a view from Cha-am, north, to Sam Roi Yot south on a normal day, in other words good visibility!

From the foot of hill called ”Hin Lek Fai” you can reach the top with the tuk-tuk in 15 minutes. Running is really a healthy exercise and takes less than an hour. At the top you will find the parking lot and a few shops. At the parking lot you will also immediately find the monkey colony and these can be annoying, so be careful when you bring bags and food. The less the better. For the monkey some but for most of us it is better to keep your distance.

The best time to visit Hin Lek Fai is in the morning and the evening because then it is simply less hot. Walking and cycling from the center is also too good if you are fit. You can easily reach this location by scooter or tuk-tuk.
So remember that it’s a good idea to keep food out of sight of the monkeys. So no plastic bag with food or drinks, because otherwise the monkeys will probably approach you.
After taking a look at the different viewpoints you can go to the small shops at the top where the park starts for an ice cream or cold drinks. There is no entrance fee, so free entry.
read also on tripadvisor. Enjoy great views and a nice day out!
Video of Huahin viewpoint Hin lek fai
This video is in English and gives you a good impression. In real it is much better of course.
Seems to be the most underestimated place in Huahin) 45 minutes by feet from Huahin railway station and a bunch of... monkeys as a bonus(be careful with them). Great view from 3 different points and a Little farm with drinks on a top. Free of charge. Recommendread more
Absolutely amazing views of the city and ocean! There are 6 viewpoints to check out. I rented a motorbike and on the... way I saw lots of monkeys! There weren't a lot of people there when I went, which I was surprised about since it's free and you could get some great pictures! A few of the viewpoints turn into rocky hiking trails so you may want to wear tennis shoes. I was able to do it in sandals, but obviously it's up to your comfort! There's a bathroom (no toilet paper or water) and a snack/coffee shop. It's honestly a beautiful walk as well. When we went to viewpoint 2, which is right near the entrance, there was a lot of trash unlike the other viewpoints. It was sad to see, but other than that it's worth to visit all of them!read more
It's filled with bunch of monkeys! They look cute but beware they bite! Don't bring anything that they can snatch away,... Don't feed them you're not allowed to. If you're driving a pick up,don't leave any stuff behind your vehicle otherwise they'll be all gone when you return. They have 2 nice view points. There's nothing else to see.read more

The view was amazing but when we got back to our car monkeys had torn it apart. Ripped all the weather stripping off of... the windshield. Tore most plastic or rubber off. Destroyed the wipers and ripped of the window visors. A couple of Thai people just sat there and watched it happen while we were gone. Definitely ruined the moment. Only gone for about 30 minutes.read more
Had a lovely day here, so many monkeys, the view is quite stunning, different viewing platforms, all over looking the... whole of Hua Hin and coast line, best to have a stick to wave when monkeys are in groups together. Be careful with belongings.read more

Great place to see the city from a height and different points. True, the photo with the sunset will not work, because... the sun sets on the other side. There is also a good park, you can take a walk. And it is close to the city center. You can take a taxi. Very pleased with the trip here. Near, short and very beautiful.read more

State park.. are you kidding me? It's an abandoned park, the view was nice, just full of trash and some monkey stole my... water bottle from my scooter ( which I found it 10 feet away), it's ok I don't blame them, it's kinda sad actually, they aren't aggressive at all, poor starving monkeys ? There are some nice units in the building but the neighbourhood is dead now. No convenience store nearby anymore.The... pool was dirty and green the entire time I stayed there. Do not go. I was less than a metre into the area and saw all the aggressive monkeys and thought that doesn’t look... good. Was about to leave then a Thai lady said no it’s fine. Literally two seconds later one sneaks up behind me didn’t even see it and it bit me and I was 7000 baht lighter after rabies and tetanus jabs. Very dangerous. I was careful didn’t have any food or any items. Monkeys are out of controlread more
Great views from here, natural forest setting, loads of monkeys around (don't carry any food and they will ignore you),... various viewpoints reveal different parts of Hua Hin and surroundings... you'll also find a statue of King Rama II in this park, toilet facilities, and best of all, no entrance fee... definitely worth a visit!read more
The easiest way to get there is by taxi or tuk-tuk, just like in the video. Bespreek van te voren de prijs heen en terug af en voorkom onplezier. With your automatic scooter you can also hit the top of the viewpoint and walking is also a great option. Bur keep in mind there is lots of traffic on the roads. The mountain can be seen from the Huahin train station and via the roundabout over the track you can go up. So you don’t need a tour when you are in Huahin, you can do this. have fun!!
