Thailand is bekend om haar stranden en het Huahin strand is misschien niet het allermooiste maar toch zeker een heerlijke strand. Het strand in Huahin is ongeveer acht kilometer lang. Er is geen boulevard zoals in andere badplaatsen in Thailand. ‘Hua hin’ betekent ‘hoofd steen’ in het Thais en je begrijpt de betekenis ervan als je naar dit strand komt. Sommige delen van de stranden hebben namelijk mooie grote blokken stenen die de golven breken, ideaal voor een foto of gewoon om lekker te spelen.

Hua hin Strand
De stranden van de badplaats Huahin zijn niet zo fijn als die van de afgelegen eilanden, en het water heeft misschien niet de geweldige geleikleur, maar het prachtige landschap van de blauwe zee en het witte zand is hier populair bij de Thaise koninklijke familie. Rijd op een wit paard en loop langs het strand naar Hua Hin Beach. Het is voor vele toeristen uit Bangkok absoluut een onvergetelijke ervaring voor een ritje te maken en te ontspannen in de zeebries. Persoonlijk zie ik er het nut niet van, maar blijft het een leuk schouwspel dat erbij hoort. Voor een ontspannen vakantie kunt u een strandstoel op het strand huren om een halve dag te liggen, of zelfs barbecueën op het strand. Als je genoeg hebt gelegen, pak je wat kleine mosselschelpen en stop je ze in een glazen fles als souvenir. De kleine schelpen laten een pauwblauw licht zien. Waar andere stranden in Thailand alleen die bizarre programma’s voor volwassenen bieden, is Hua Hin altijd kalm en gracieus geweest. Boeiend en ontspannend.

Het Khao Takiab, zuid Hua hin, was vroeger gewoon een vissersdorp. Inmiddels is dit dorp aan de stad vastgegroeid en daarom onafscheidelijk vandaag de dag. De afstand is 7 kilometer. Het oude vissershaventje bestaat nog steeds en ligt onder aan de 270 meter hoge berg. Bovenop deze kleine berg staat uiteraard een mooie Thais Chinese Tempel. Bij deze tempel woont ook een apenkolonie. Maar wees wel een beetje voorzichtig want deze kolonie houdt van apenstreken!

Het Takiap Beach strand is een lange baai die zich uitstrekt tot aan de Khao Tao Berg nog zuidelijker. Zie hierboven ziet u een fietsroute vanaf het winkelcentrum Bluport in Soi 102.
Accommodatie bij Huahin strand
Het strand is toch wel het meest bijzondere in deze badplaats. Het is dan ook logisch dat veel resorts in Hua Hin liggen pal naast het strand. Dit geeft niet alleen direct toegang maar ook moor uitzicht. De meest bekende hotels zijn het Hilton Hotel, Centara, Marriott, Hyatt Regency en Dusit Thani. Deze hotels bieden een prettig verblijf met een goede prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding.
Voor de mensen die opzoek zijn naar meer privacy en voor langere tijd is er in de afgelopen tien jaar flink veel aanbod bijgekomen. De moderne complexen dienen te voldoen aan de bouw regels en mogen niet hoog zijn, en zo kunt u de nieuwere en oudere complexen van elkaar scheiden. Uiteraard kunt u dat vaak al zien aan het gebouw zelf. Hier een voorbeeld van het Condochain Huahin direct aan het strand.

Beautiful white sand beach with clear turquoise water. The beach gets the sun during the day, but from around 3pm onwards is mostly shaded- making it a great time to visit for families or those who prefer it a bit cooler. The beach has a good atmosphere - family friendly and safe. There are public toilets just off the main area of the beach (where the horses congregate) which costs 5 Baht. Plenty of food and drink available to buy, and you can rent sun loungers or do water sports if you wish. A lovely beach for a few days away from Bangkok.
Such a beautiful spot. Long strech of soft clean sand that's a joy to behold.The ocean is very swimmable, warm temperature and not choppy. The sun loungers & umbrellas can be rented for around 50 baht. Please not Wednesday is a day off and no sunbeds available (the beach is still open)It's also a very walkable beach especially early in the morning or late afternoon.Not much F&B in the immediate vicinity but a short hop off the beach is the main strip with lots of options.Check out the Chinese temple too as well as the fisherman's pier and the wooden structures.Remember to take your trash away with you
Bit crowded but still quite manageable. Lots of parking was available. We spent several hours in tanning sun.Water was quite clean and sand fine and white. People making sand castles, several rides on rent. There was even a fashion photo shoot going on!
Not a bad beach at all, though can't compare to the best in Phuket. I stayed at Baan Bayan Beachfront Hotel so enjoyed the beautiful sunrises. For swimming it's very shallow and you have to walk a long way out to get deeper water. The beach is incredibly popular with Kite surfers and watching then provided hours of entertainment. The predictable wind conditions with the fairly constant onshore breeze in the afternoons seems to create the ideal conditions for this sport.
I like the atmosphere there. People are enjoying the time with their friends and family members. It’s just a little bit traffic during dinner time.. However it’s worthy!
Lovely place to be. We have visited 3 years and always park ourselves at beach hut 13. My old friend looks after us as if we were family, loyalty goes along way here. Maybe a few big rocks but still plenty of sea for swimming body boarding just be aware of where you are in the ocean.
Huwa Hin beach is one of the most loved tourist attractions that many tourists both local and foreign visitors never forget to stroll along the sandy beaches especially at dusk. Several hotels are located along the beach and it is really fun for kids as there are several things they can do in addition to play in the beach.
Pleasant beach ?, You can have dinner/drinks by sitting on beach chairs . Restaurants are very next to beach. You can buy a chair and enjoy unlimited time. Crowd will be less compared to pattaya beach. Horse riding available. You can spend more time on nights than day. Be experimental ?. Try to avoid plastic usage thank you.
Clear sky, beautiful beach. Sea water is so blue. You will feel so rich by walking on the sand. You can also hear sea sound as well as breath fresh air.Just enjoy and relax in the nice beach.
