As a Thai, I had chance to experience this place during day and night and it was very impressive. Day time is already... well known, but the twilight and night time is also awesome. We went there for dinner and walked around. Waited for some time and went for the firefly boat trip. They didn’t charge extra for the foreigners! That’s rare!Firefly boat trip was not so amazing but overall a good experience compared to the price (60THB per person with shared boat). Parking in the temple is 30 baht, but outside ones are 40 baht. The temple one is less crowded.lees meer
Very relaxed town. On a market day, it is lively. On a non market day, it is very quiet (which is also nice, in a... different way). However note that many shops and cafes and restaurants only open on market days. So do your research before coming. There are many pedestrian bridges, but a few are in the middle of renovation. Boat tours are available to go see the famous firefires at dusk and sunset. If you get a chance, you can give alms to the monks on the river in the morning. Your guesthouse should be able to advise.lees meer
A relatively small floating market. Pretty similar offerings across retail and food options. It is almost a 1.5 hours... drive from Bangkok city. So might be good to check out other attractions in the area for the long drive. Otherwise, it would take less than 2 hours to finish walking around the market if you're not taking any boat ride.lees meer
Nice floating market here 👍Good variety of seafoods, noodles & a lot of local snacks & ice cream. Many local people... also shopping or having their meal here.Souvenirs & drawings also available here.Boat ride to temple or firefly tour also available50Baht per head or u may chartered whole long tail boat at 500Bahtlees meer
The floating markets is interesting to visit with a variety of tourist type shops to buy various items and also food.... There is restaurants to sit at and eat whilst looking over the water and there is also a river tour that basically explores 5 Buddhist temples that leaves from the floating markets. The day was interesting but very much a tourist place. It was worth a visit just for the experience.See my video on my YouTube on the travelling social workerlees meer
very beautiful floating market.many shops selling food and other products. The prices are reasonable. The atmosphere... was very good.It didn't seem like a tourist trap. The visitors and customers were mainly Thai and there were very few foreign tourists (This may also be because of the global downturn in travel). Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself thoroughly.I recommend this place for a pleasant outing experience.lees meer
The best floating market near Bangkok, definitely worth visiting!! Not a touristic place, so no useless and expensive... souvenirs 🙂 But cheap and tasty food (especially seafood) and friendly people. Recommend to rent a boat (500 to 1000 THB) for sightseeing tour on the river and neighbour channels. Also, a lot of nice temples nearby.lees meer
It is a long 90 minutes drive from Bangkok but worth the trip to see how a former fishing village has turned into one... of the more famous Floating Market in Thailand. There are still elderly folks living next to the busy and often noisy river but presumably they cherish being next to the waters. Even during these difficult times the locals prevail and maintain their way of life not standing the challenges. I am sure tourists will once again visit these iconic sight even covid fear has resided.lees meer
Took a boat ride from the floating market with my girlfriend for 100 baht each. Thought it would be a quick one hour... spin around the river to check out the sites but it turned out to be a grand tour of the temples along the river that took two and a half hours. Bored doesn't begin to describe how I felt. The marker itself is good though with a wide variety of foods, clothes, footwear etc available. Took a really long time to find a coffee shop there.lees meer
There is extremely much local to discover and see there. I have seen only one European within my stay. Great experience... against evening, everything beautifully lit, you can rent a boat to look at the whole from the water. A lot of food but also clothes, etc. is to get there. Great experiencelees meer
Very picturesque place. A lot of animation on the canal with boat carts but also in the surrounding alleys and on the... bridge. Besides the chance to buy many items, food and fresh fruit, a very beautiful and colorful sight can be enjoyed on sunset and early evening. A very interesting visit, it was well worth the drive.lees meer
The market is very popular. You could find food, desserts, drinks, local clothes and etc. The price is not too high.... You can enjoy Thai traditional culture here. I suggest you to come here around 4.00 PM. The weather is not too hot and many stores are opened.lees meer
Budget friendly buys here! Compared to other floating markets it is much cheaper here. We also had a good massage in... this market. A much needed foot massage from all the walking. We availed of a tour from Klook to get to the market.lees meer
Best and most authentic floating market I've been so far! More touristic than a couple years ago but still a nice place... for having food, beers or just buying useful and not so useful stuff 🙂lees meer
Very organized market. Came with a tour but we had 2 hours of free time to do whatever. We chilled in a cafe! Very nice... experience. There's restaurants and Cafes where you can eat on the boat too! The locals here very hardworking which i really respect and admire. You can get a boat ride to see the rest of the river. And at night there's fireflies!lees meer
Still rather touristy, but good enough to spend at least two hours to get the feeling of it. Don't expect any seller... really riding on boat though, apparently they don't do that anymore, but you can pay 50b each peraon or 500b to chartered a mini yacht to circle around the river outside of the floating market, which is about an hour long and quite boring really, it never stop and no one will explain the surrounding, but it always sound better to ride with one to say you have been to the floating market, given if you have time. The shops on the riverside are more or less the same, but again the mood is good and they are indeed some nice photo spot.lees meer
Lots of small shops to buy really good sea food. The prices are all pretty good too. Not nearly as many shops selling... souvenirs or clothes as in the past. All the shops selling the handmade cotton shirts and pants are selling the same things. In the past several shops had their own unique style, now every shop is the same.lees meer
A bunch of very friendly and generally happy vendors selling a huge variety of foods, snacks and touristy items plus... the actual vendors on boats. There is certainly something for everyone to eat or snack on, with most vendors offering free testing of their eats. If you come hungry, you will leave quite satisfied.Parking is a challenge but squeezing into any available spot appears acceptable. Otherwise use the parking touts who will require a small paymentlees meer
Nice Market with many boats and a Lot of possibilities to eat. We were a Bit overwhelmed by the offer...Important:-... Market is only on the weekend- you rarely find ToiletsI think its worth to visit and recommend you to also make a boat Tour (e.g. to the Fall was market).lees meer
It is a must visit for Bangkok. Make sure to wait and visit evening also. The shop will be closed in the evening but... the boats will take you for Firefly spotting. Which is good. You can get many dessert items in the market. The chocolates and the souvenirs are really cheap in this market.we loved the 20 baht keychains.lees meer
Totally new for me. I have never seen such a thing. A lot of stores there you can shop souvenirs while sitting in the... boat. Also a lot of other boats offer food. Some just one type of food. We had some thy food which was tasty but hot spicy. The water was not clean because many of the shops there put their garbage in it. They are building other stores as well. It is not really what it was traditionally but the same pattern. Most of the shops offering the same stuff . Seems one distributer has put some products in all of the shops .lees meer
The Ultimate Food-Trip! With everything from juices, fresh fruit, and milk based drinks, to meats, seafood, and a... plethora of local desserts and sweets. Truly a foodie paradise.Expect it to be busy, with a combination of locals and tourists. Most items on sale are well priced, making for an affordable experience. In addition to food there are clothes, hand made accessories, souvenirs, and more.Much of the market can be covered on foot, but also has water based sections, wherein you can order and eat food from the boats. There is also a boat ride available; the highlight being to take it after sunset to be able to see the fireflies. The Amphawa police station serves as a Landmark and also has restrooms for tourists.lees meer
The evening is alive with the bustling of the market. As a visitor, I love the lights and actions and the novelty of... Thai culture (street food, smiles and bargaining). Remember to visit the fireflies... I am surprise with the sightings too.lees meer
Adorable market on the river. You can take a boat ride for 50 baht per person, or it’s 500 baht to rent the entire... thing. Temple and nature boat tours that last 30-45min. If you grab taxi out there, beware that Grab won’t take you back. There’s bus (70baht per person) and taxi services (1500 per van for 6 people) near the bridge you can take back to Bangkok.lees meer
Very interesting place with cool atmosphere. Loads of tourist shops and little cafes. I imagined there would be more... people selling from their boats, but maybe we came in the wrong day.. 🙂 Boat tour was fun.lees meer
This was a really good experience. However, I completely misunderstood what I was going to experience and see. If you... think your shopping on boats and getting food from boat to boat that's not the case. I still think it's worth seeing and honestly enjoyed my time. It's about 1-1.5 hours away for most people in the Bangkok area. Enjoy!lees meer

I went there today and the restaurant was so over priced, this floating market is not far away from seafood market,... where they can get the cheap price of seafood and one thing that made me felt so disappointed was we’ve waited for the food so long and what we got was so less and tasted suck T_T I’ve never eaten something that I was so regretted like this before. Anyway there are many shops that has the cheap price of clothes, candy, drinks, etc.lees meer
